The world’s oldest ‘inland’ course and the 25th oldest Golf Club in the world.
The world’s oldest ‘inland’ course and the 25th oldest Golf Club in the world.
Lanark Golf Club was founded in 1851. It was originally designed by Old Tom Morris and George Sayers, and then later refined by James Braid, who was brought in to construct several new holes which formed the course we now play today.
Our Old Course is a classic moorland layout built on top of ancient glacial sands. Often described as an inland links with firm undulating fairways that drain freely and large fast greens played all year round.
We look forward to welcoming you to play our historic course.
