Opening of the Clubhouse

Club Manager's Welcome and Guidance for Clubhouse

Dear Member

As per the Captain's email last week I am delighted to inform the membership the clubhouse will open tomorrow, Wednesday 15th July.

The clubhouse will look slightly different from when you were last in and I want to take this opportunity to remind you that the country is still easing it's way out of lockdown with the roadmap which is being presented by the UK and Scottish Governments.

With this in mind, the clubhouse has been subject to a detailed risk assessment which has been placed on the noticeboard for your information.

Other measures have been put in place and I will list them in this email and Council ask that they are observed. Notwithstanding this, it is requested that members continue to be aware of the situation and act in a responsible manner. Hopefully as the weeks and months continue there will continue to be further and gradual loosening of the restrictions.

Initially, the bar and restaurant will be operating on restricted hours, however, this will be monitored closely over the next few weeks and if there is sufficient demand the hours will be suitably increased.

A register has been placed in the hallway, please sign in. This is to ensure the golf club is able to operate the track and trace system implemented by the Scottish Government.

There are less seats and tables in both lounges and the restaurant, this is to ensure social distancing is maintained, therefore, Council request that furniture is not moved around.

Initially, it will be table service only, therefore, please do not approach the bar or kitchen areas, a member of staff will come and take your order. If possible can you please pay by card.

Should you wish to come to the club for a meal I would advise prior booking to avoid disappointment due to the limited number of tables available.

There are 10 sanitising stations located throughout the clubhouse and I would encourage everyone to ensure they adopt appropriate cleansing procedures.

The cleaning staff are operating on staggered times, again, this is to ensure the various touch points and furniture are sanitised frequently.

Bar and restaurant staff will ensure each table and chair are sanitised after use and prior to the next person.

Staff have been provided with Personal Protective Equipment which includes facemasks and they will have a choice if they wish to wear them.

The locker rooms and trolley store will be open, the gents locker room has direction arrows indicating a one way system, again, I ask this be observed. Presently the shower facilities remain closed.

As of tomorrow the practice areas will re-open, however, this is subject to members adhering to the social diatncing rules, therefore, please don't use the facilities if there is insufficient room.

As of this weekend, members guests will be allowed on the course after medal competitions. Visitors are now able to book times.

Due to current restrictions the office door will be closed due to the limited space. If you require assistance, please phone, email or knock on the window and Janice and I will be happy to assist.

Finally, the initial Bar and Catering hours are as follows:

It has been a long few months and we have all been tested in ways we probably never imagined but it is fantastic that we have now reached a point where the roadmap out of lockdown has allowed the clubhouse to be open and members can once again enjoy the facilities (albeit with restrictions). WELCOME BACK.

The Clubhouse

The clubhouse stands proudly above the 18th green. Its location affords stunning views over the course, Lanark Loch and to the rolling countryside beyond.

The lounges and dining room have recently been upgraded to provide a relaxed and welcoming ambience in which to enjoy animated conversation over a drink or the delights of the restaurant.
