You may notice a new style of flagstick on the golf course when you are playing this week.
This is a "Thin Pin" which we are currently trialling on one hole on the course.
It is designed to encourage golfers to putt with the pin in and the thin shaft is half the size of a normal flagstick. This helps decrease damage to the hole caused when retreiving your ball with the flagstick in..
And in this current environment, will minimise the amount of contact memmbers have with the flagstick.
It is made in Scotland and has been tested in winds up to 50mph so ideal for a summer's day at Lanark...
